Speaking of deaf, one would think that dancing to a rhythm might be hard to do competitively, but maybe she'll get some consideration for that?

@urtoast My blind friend also say stuff like: “I see” or “I can see where this is going“, both normally and even as a joke. So yea, it took me some time to get used to it but they use those words like anybody else. They are okay with people saying it normally too, at least from my observation. The problem arises only when normal people use the words condescendingly to assert dominance, then that’s rude. We can’t joke about a struggle we don’t understand about, only the disabled people can joke about it because they struggle with it. If anything, them joking about it usually means that they accepted it.

Sorry if it sounds like ranting, I just think it needs to be said, especially since I have a lot of disabled friends. I can’t tell your intonation from this passage so I’ll assume that you’re not trying to offend anyone, just amused at the irony :3
