alright folks, any ideas on who the mystery instructor is? 's gotta be someone from that same childhood who benefits from the mc being bullied to fuck and Yotsuha getting snatched up by Yae, so I'm gonna guess it's the girl behind Yotsuha in the picture.

My current theory is that it's him from the future. I'm not quite sure how time travel works in this story. Time doppelgangers haven't been ruled out yet. It could also be messages from the future. Maybe his time travel device is his phone. I'm guessing the mentor identity is something she hasn't figured out yet and is probably the key to making this run successful.

I don't think it's really that irrelevant. Yae quite clearly has his own motives for bully Uichi. The "mastermind" probably used that to their advantage. Like, "Don't you just hate Uichi? You should really do something to take him down a peg, he's so smug."
Then just turn the nutjob loose. The mastermind probably serves as Yae's confidant and advisor in the shadows, while Yae himself takes the reigns and messes with Uichi of his own accord. So his reasons aren't irrelevant at all, because they're the bait the mastermind used to turn Yae's grudge into a weapon against Uichi for unknown motives.
