Thankyou man from the future who speaks Portugal !

1000% delusional going by how everyone else acts. I bet it's something dumb like he got first in a quiz so her parents didn't buy her something, wouldn't be the first time I've seen that plot in a manga.
Nope I bet he said no to her confession.

Place your bets now: Did Uichi actually hurt her or is she just delusional?
Betting on Delusional. Probably emotionally wounded, like he had a momentary outburst when he was stressed out.

From what I remember the past chapters, Uichi's personality is one who feels guilty if it was a modicum his fault. Most evident blaming himself for scaring off his long lost childhood friend before committing suicide.

Betting the bully-saving only made the situation worse, and the "victim" is crashing out on him instead of the bullies. Uichi blames himself because "if he didn't help, it wouldn't have gone so far." Thus substantiating himself that he is the problem.

For anyone who's ever heard the old song "Macho Man", I propose that as her theme song (but with the word "yandere" substituted for "macho man", and "crazy" substituted for "body"). :wtf:

I am still kinda surprised how easy these peers who either hurt Uichi or stood by and let it happen just turn around and try to be his friend when they realize he is not the gloomy loser and hidden braggart they thought he was.

I think it will be the latter, but way more interesting if he legitimately wronged her and we’re left to decide whose justified.
Sure, it would be more interesting, but I don't think if fits Uichi's character. I think it's more likely that he was in an unstable state and lashed out.

He doesn’t necessarily have to be malicious to hurt someone, likewise he could have done something in the past that he regrets and genuinely grown from.

The alternative is the universe seemingly contorting itself to destroy Uichi and his family for no reason. Which is possible, but hard to write a satisfying story around I think.

Or we can go really crazy and the antagonist is actually Yotsuha and her time manipulation actually caused all of this initially…I actually like that too.
