The way it was framed I think it’s highly likely that he was indeed raped. Drugged specifically. Just because he thought he just got woozy from the booze doesn’t mean there wasn’t something else. Not to mention that getting someone drunk so that they will do something they’d be reluctant to do sober is also rape. He fell for her after the fact but that’s separate.
He was aware enough to flat out deny and reject her until she started praising him for who he is which ended easily seducing him. The alcohol was used to put him in a state where he would open up more easily about himself to achieve this. To top it off his reasoning for rejecting her asvances in the first place wasn't because he had a wife he loved but rather his wife's connections. Also knowing Kazuha it wouldn't be satisfying to simply just rape him as she needs him to feel guilty about the entire affair, by consciously choosing her of his own will.

You mean to tell me the dad NEVER slipped up at home and subconsciously air out his real self in front of his own wife? Idk man it doesn't matter how smart one is, masks always slip when one is at home.
I get what you're saying, but you saw how his wife acted towards Futuba being her true self

Depends which comes first I guess. I interpreted it as him begging her AFTER it happened because it getting out would ruin him rather than him refusing to go through with it. And while getting a person drunk enough to sleep with them, while legally viewed as rape in most places including present-day Japan, it is still often seen as simple sex in many places to the point that "I got drunk and woke up next to some other woman" would still get the same denunciation and result in divorce all the same. True, it still doesn't change the fact that his wish to be faithful comes from how infidelity will hinder his work rather than love for her, but still. I can certainly see it happening the way you present, I just suspect that it was that way.

I already said before, the dad is shitty, he should just admit his cheating and taking care of yotsuha. But he take suicide, then that (HiGHest IQ ever) daughter take revenge on wrong person.

"As bad as the mother"? He pretends his daughter is someone else's daughter to fulfill his fantasy of being married to a different woman. SHE enjoys breaking people down until they have nothing left, then tries to find the most cruel and horrifying way to kill them just so she can see them suffer even more at the end.

I'm not saying he hasn't done some awful things to his ten-year-old daughter (at least she must've been ten when she started communicating with Utako). It kind of makes sense that she'd break after such pain. But there's a huge gap between his level of awful and Kazuha's.

Yes, but the thing with mental masks is that it always slip when one is "home" and unless one is a genuine psychopath with impaired empathy intellectualizing other people's emotions out of the womb, the closest person will always see signs of "2 sides". And it's been proven by the clear need of affection that the professor is just smart, not a psychopath.
The story, however, paints his mask as so perfect that his wife can't even see through the cracks to a point that she doesn't know it exists.

It might come off as nitpicking, but I just find it hard to suspend my disbelief on that particular thing.

Well, to be fair, it can be hard to really prove that all "two-faced" people reveal their nature at home. This is extremely hard to judge except after-the-fact, at which point the person in question will likely be thinking and second-guessing and actively LOOKING for past clues. Also, there's the issue of what you really define as "home". If "home" is "the place where you feel comfortable and/or secure", then when he's with his wife, who he believes only loves him for the act he plays and whom he can't afford to lose for reasons above and beyond any romantic bonds, would not be "home". If anything, the closest thing he'd have to a "place" where he feels secure, it'd be at the side of his ten-year-old daughter, who may be brilliant but still is just a child and also psychologically dependent on him being "genuine".

Oh jeez.....that's, that's not good at all....why would you write that to your 5 year old kid in your will dude?? Even if she's smart it doesn't mean she can't be traumatized, jesus!

And we haven't even heard the contents to the end yet....I dread to find out more....

Even with no sex involved, mentally reframing a little child as first being your desired lover's child and then as your desired lover is seriously farked up. It's unavoidably going to leak out in your demeanor, and that's going to play merry havoc with how the child bonds and perceives relationships.
Image of him cuddling Futaba on the right, transitions to image of him cuddling psycho on the left:
"Loving Futaba, and being loved back, it felt as if I could feel that person's love"

YMMV on how much that factors into her accepting the notion of "Dad is going to be my one and only", and rejecting genuine bonds with anyone else.

Yeah, doesn't matter how intelligent someone is, that masks always slips within 3-5 months of being created.

Again hard to say. The whole thing goes based on an assumption that a faker is always going to let his guard down at home, which inevitably has only fakers that were caught as evidence since you don’t know they faked anything until then. I agree it’s messed up to use one’s daughter as material for one’s fantasies even if they never reached the point of becoming sexual. Doesn’t change my assertion that he may have only felt secure enough to drop his guard when it was just the two of them (he did have some expressions that were suspicious) and a ten year old girl who is so dependent on him is not likely to even consider that there’s anything wrong. If a few more years passed she might have noticed, especially if he lusted after her, or alternatively the difference between her and Kazuha might have become too big and wrecked the delusion. But at ten he’d have had to get very aggressive before she’d acknowledge something was wrong.

I could be wrong, but I think we're coming from the same place… as a child, she doesn't know that the way she's being treated (as a lover or soulmate, instead of a vulnerable innocent to be protected) is horribly wrong. But it's enough to seriously screw up her ability to bond with others as well as make her incredibly dependent on him (which he then betrays by not only killing himself, but doing it in such a way that she'll find the body and then later find his screwed-up 'avenge me' request).
