If there's one thing all wise people know, it's that family is everything.
Look at the people around you who have cut off their families. Do they seem like happy people to you, or do they seem like the kind of people with much higher rates of drug addiction, mental illnesses, criminal convictions, much higher rates of suicide and depression etc.? I think we all know the answer to that.
By contrast families who stick together are on average much happier and healthier.

I think ML's mother is really considerate. She loves ML but after what happened due to her daughter everything changed and the only person who really loves her is our ML and she don't want him to get away from her, that's why she's being selfish.
