is the author allergic to the word "explanation"? ik they're trying the whole "gasps 'x' isn't who i thought it was!" type mystery drama but c'mon at least explain some stuff instead of just putting it there just to get an "oh there are demi-human around here" "oh apparently there's skills in this world" (imo)

Initial reading up to chapter 17:
So far so charming. I'm pleasantly suprised at the combination of art and story. Read if you want something fun and cute with elements of classic "leveling up from nothing" trope. MC is self-serving but perceived as the opposite. Don't read if you want something that tackles problems deeply or an interesting power system.
Excited to read more, if the original author reads this, keep up the work

@MysteryMeatManiac can you tell me what is happening with the 2 beginning chapter's situation, like what are those 2 ch are about and where does it go to? It's a lot of thing left for speculation and the loophole is too big and left me dry of will and intent to read the next chapter XD
I know not to expect deep thinking moment as you said but I am really curious about that whole situation, cuz if going by the 2 chapter at the beginning, those "big shot" people just schemed him to inherit and run the "family" business.

Story is a bit lacking but huge potential. MC not so likeable, he takes care of the kids especially during trials, but not because they have a bond but because he has to. Not so likeable as in, he doesn't have something to make me cheer him on. His passion is money and is self-preserving, that's mostly it. Unlike Grid in overgeared, he has a "trash" personality but he has good points, and his character growth was a journey that made me support him more and more.

And this MC is blind to the real happenings of the story which isn't much of a critique but is a bit annoying that he's out of the loop, like why don't they just tell him.

The kids are cute, that's been keeping me going.
