Tbf she gave almost no real indication she loved him from before. I think the author pulled this out too late.

I don't think her love thing was late, it was introduced in like chapter five. I think one of the reason is just, the main cast is weak, author should've just focus on the 4 rectangle romance thing, the harem thing is just lol, I mean the sport girl literally fell off as a character after chapter 3.
