It's a art style from the 80s it varies a bit depending on the author but yeah maison ikkoku, kimagure orange road, ranma 1/2. The closest thought would be the works of mitsuru adachi.

I can't seem to like the idea for Kenta to end up with either Kiyo or Suu-chan. Their love for each other just surpassed those romantic kind of love.

Hmmm... Now that i think of it... Why does kenta the only one that seems like to grow up. He is WAY different from what we see on his first appearance. Why is kiyo and su chan doesnt seems much different? It's like they don't hit puberty.

Girls in general hit and finish with the puberty before boys do, plus in Japan woman are on average smaller than men by a lot. About 155cm to roughtly 172cm, I believe are the numbers.
