Why is it the principle and VP can't just admit they under-estimated his skill/ability and it should be more highly regarded? Is it really as something as lame as them going "Gah, we can't admit we're wrong, we could never be wrong!"?
See, he ain't a noble, iirc. He's "jobless", and because of that, he's been relegated to a special class to try and drive him out. He's someone who might break perceptions of Nobles Being Better Than You.
So, although it's only implied, the royals ain't too happy about his continued success after a certain point either. Not helped by other things.

The gambler. Specifically for the special effect of his class. See, a gambler's HP is directly correlated to their money. So every time he gets hurt, money flies out.
Wouldn't the sponsors, or whatever, see everyone calling him trash and making him set up far away, building houses, getting harassed, made to sit on the floor, etc etc?
I'm all for MC making a sweet base, but making pitfall traps with stakes in them seems like an absolutely insane thing to build on school grounds, of all places.
This is a comedy series so I'm sure nothing too bad's gonna happen, but goddamn man, that's just asking to accidentally murder a student.
