yeah, it has had a longer run than I thought it would. The addition of lots of characters is a sign of bloat which can be a story killer too. Was kinda hoping with Kobayashi getting Shin and all that it would allow her body to become stronger with more vitality such that Kobayashi can stay with them longer.

WE'RE SO BACK!
with the year of the dragon closing out, and the year of the snake approaching, we've been rewarded with wholesome maid content once more.
i'm glad that this chapter showed tohru and kobayashi getting even closer. I wish they'd follow up more with the confession, but these types of interactions are so adorable and cute.
I'm honestly unsure where the series is going to go from here, I'd like to see more of loki doing stuff if possible, or perhaps seeing what take and ilulu are up to. Someone pointed out that the series might end soon, I don't think it will. There's a ton of things that they can still do and the filler slice of life content is always something I'm up for seeing.

Coolkyou’s greatest strength in writing is undoubtedly familial, domestic scenarios with characters interacting with day-to-day life. While the Shounen battles are interesting and can be fun at times, they’re not what I’d expect from Dragon Maid and feel out of place.
This chapter harkens back to Kobayashi’s love and passion for maids, something we haven’t seen in a while, in addition to tender and sweet moments between her, Tohru, and the kids. Everything feels so natural, portraying everyone as a natural family dynamic. Tohru’s so accepting of Kobayashi’s hobby and choice to act as a maid to destress, conveying the love she feels for her. This is Dragon Maid at its best. The final page shows the two together, with Tohru discussing her excitement to see Kobayashi as her maid apprentice again... just beautiful. A fantastic mix of slice-of-life and comedy.
