He is still largely just a horny teen. Though, it seems like he is airheaded enough that I can understand why they decided to have Ilulu be the one concerned about people going for him. Then again, I guess there were signs; he didn't question a lot of the weird stuff about Ilulu, like her being super strong.thanks for the translations.
I feel like Take has a more vivid personality in this series than he does in the original. He always felt a bit lacking to me. Especially compared to the other human characters. Like Kobayash, Takiya and Saikawa of course. Probably because he’s always playing the straight man to the dragons antics. And he’s usually engulfed by all the other wacky characters in the series so his personality never gets the spot light. But here we can finally have some focus pot on him.
Dragons are just generally really possessive of there mates. Just look at Kobayashi and Tohru. In the main manga Ilulu got so possessive of Take she termed him into a baby, and Kanna stuck to Saikawa like glue for getting kidnapped. With Tohru saying that “it’s like getting your pray stolen.” Plus Ilulu fell in love with Take first so it makes sense she would be the one fending off others. He is still largely just a horny teen. Seriously, I worry that there will be a chapter where he gets kidnapped due to someone offering free candy out of the back of a van.
