It also makes sense if it happens over time. You kinda see in the initial burst too that she seems to be in an almost daze for awhile. Would be neat to see if she needs to fight more and more to not fall into an apathetic daze that corrodes the desire to maintain her current relationships.
For it to happen over time, it needs continuous friction and development, but this girl... she pretty much died, not only she died, she was abandoned, left to die and eaten alive and then in a fit of pure rage and frustration with the last vestige of consciousness, she came back! She pretty much snapped and I understand if she doesn't take shit from anyone anymore, this event speedrunned her shift but well, I'm sure there's more to this than that.

Man her personality shift made her extra badass!
Also, whilst I'm glad she told Reika to fuck off, Towa doesn't inspire trust either. Though I really enjoy her brutalness.
Also also, Ayumi was hot, gotta hand it to the damn fine artwork.
Thanks for the chapter!

I still wonder if Reika underwent a similar personality morph. It would be sad/tragic if that was the case. Although I wouldn't be surprised if that was her true personality and she was just manipulative/duplicitous to start with.

Or that each time she activates her power, she turns into the kind of personality she hates, but the duration becomes longer and longer until it’s permanent. But it seems she’s already had a significant permanent change, which kinda reminds me of what happens in Darker than Black when characters become a Contractor.

I kind of doubt she stopped caring about Reika just like that
she only cared because (spoilering just in case but i'm not even sure)
she was being influenced due being part of her faction, same as why she revered touka, now that her symbol changed she's not influenced by the queen of that faction anymore. This is also why her personality didn't really change, she just got rid of the influence she was prisoner of.
