Human vs human is more drama fuel, the market are taught to love it.
And big bugs props are expensive, so moving plot to human backstabbing each other, while covering it up with “this is deeper” allows cutting the special effect budget, only pay the actors and less on the CG crew, and get away with it ;p

Gahhh this one should have kept going. amazing concept and amazing art for the manga. it's a genuine tragedy that stories like this, Princess of Catherdral, I Want to Make Black-Knight Fall In Love With Me!, and Gunbured x Sisters probably won't ever get a continuation. GL + action in some crazy fantasy/apocalyptic setting is such a peak story design it deserves so many more stories like this to be told to completion. 9/10
