Honestly, there are cases where I can see a girl cheating and consider it possible for her to come back and if that happens actually be happy for the MC to accept her. I've said in various places that I really like stories where a guy manages to get the girl back. But I never wanted this to happen here. Strangely, even though I've read through this a few times, I didn't realize one of the big points until now:

When she apologized, she went on about how she was stupid to think he wouldn't break up with her, how she thought he'd forgive her... but she never said that she should have realized that that doesn't matter. Leaving that part out basically confirms that she believed that if he'd forgive her then it's fine. Straight to the end, it's clear that in her mind there was nothing wrong with sleeping around as long as Yusuke either doesn't know or knows and forgives her.

Yeah, see one of the most crucial things I want to see in NTR stories, the thing I must see before I can consider there anything positive in the two getting back together, is true remorse (given that there was consent of course). The girl has to truly appreciate that she's hurt him, that she's done something she shouldn't have done, not because her boyfriend wouldn't forgive but because regardless of his willingness it's still a very deep and hard betrayal. If there was such true remorse and I could really believe it, the thought of them getting back together or of them reconciling and parting on more amicable terms wouldn't strike me as such a horrible thing. But again, in this case it is painfully obvious that Kayo doesn't feel she was mistaken by betraying Yusuke's love and trust, but only regrets doing something that Yusuke wouldn't forgive. With that mindset, it's like Yusuke said: if he gets back with her then she'll think it's okay to do it again or convince herself that what Yusuke doesn't know won't hurt him.

And then the icing on the cake, her concluding the whole thing not with something like "please give me one more chance" or "please let me start over", but "please DO ME". Yeah, everything about her screams ulterior motives and an incapacity for actual remorse. Only thing satisfying with her is seeing the hope drain from her face as she realizes that she in fact can't get away with this.

In the WN, MC is way angrier than that because he furious she knew Iketani has a girlfriend and her cheating lead to Shiraki suffering.

I was waiting for a more acceptable reason from Kayo before taking judgement. But after learning that it was the risk of pregnancy that triggered her to realize her mistakes, I realized she never really thought about the MC. It's always after something happens that the cheater apologizes, not out of sincerity and desire to mend the relationship. That makes me think Kayo never truly loved the MC despite her claims now. She may have loved him back then but it ceased at some point. The love for MC she claims now is something that's fueled by fear more than anything else.

MC is her fallback cushion.
That's how she sees him, she never saw MC as equal in a relationship but someone or even a thing below herself.

That's why she always rejected his advances to her, his very girlfriend, it disgusted her putting herself to someone below her level with MC's.

Her hitting it off with Iketani reinforced her views, once Iketani was gone she stepped back to her comfort zone with MC, but the moment Kayo met Iketani again, she put herself above MC again.

From middle school to highschool, she never let MC do anything to her but would let Iketani do everything to her.

That's how you can conclude that she never loved MC.
She loved being above MC by being with Iketani but also knew that Iketani would never settle with her. He just fed her ego.
And the moment Iketani left in the future just like he did in the past, she again would fall back to MC because he was at her arm's reach and go back being a couple with no physical interactions, even holding hands would be too much.

You can bet that if they marry she would have just let MC do her ONCE and then bring up a myriad of excuses to not let MC have sex with her ever again, AND if she met Iketani as a married wife she still would let him do her at her whims, I'm afraid if she get pregnant the father of the child would be Iketani but the one paying the bills would be MC.

Her only miscalculation was that MC busted them together and goddamn he's lucky it happened.

is this manga going to end soon?
I thought this chapter will be like in like volume 15 , the last arc, she aplogized, she feels sorry, she kneeled before him. Like this is it, isn't this the end game?

And now she might be pregnant so... like no need to torture this woman even more. She has a kid to think about.

The only loop to close is to get 'revenge' for the big titty girl, but even then, like there is no need, her ex-bf got a girl pregnant. Dude already got served his karma.

I don't see how much more this manga can be milked, well there is just the condom on the basketball court that is the issue, but im sure its the big titty girl who put it there , as she is already looked in his garbage to find her exes condom, also we've seen her go buy the same exact condom brand he uses.

For me, I don't think that she considers MC below her. There are just people who even if they love someone take advantage of their kindness.

It starts off small, like her breaking MC's treasured toy and only replacing it with a cheap knock off. It shows to them that this is enough for their partner that they'll be easily be forgiven, and it slowly escalates.

They do love them, that's why she's devastated by MC not forgiving her. If she thinks that she's below him, then she can just get someone else, but she truly loves him so it destroys her that a future with him won't be possible anymore.

Although with that said, this can still be because her plan failed. If she only wanted to sleep with MC because she's pregnant, and because MC refused so she can't trap him.

That may be true to some extent, depending on one's definition of love. To me, if the recipient does not see it as love, no matter how much you cry and claim for it to be, it won't be love. That was the case for the MC. In his own words, he was just a キープ君 (backup BF/marriage partner) for Kayo and nothing else. We never really got to see Kayo's perspective so we can't 100% know what she thought of the MC while she was cheating. Her claims in this chapter doesn't do much since it's mixed with desperation. Kayo's could fall under toxic/abusive love, but whether you consider that as form of love is up to you. For me, it's not.

If Kayo really didn't love MC, she would have never refused Iketani in middle school and broke things off then. Kayo always loved MC. That is why she is so desperate to get back with MC. It's just that her original romantic love eventually turned into Kayo loving MC to be her provider for her future kids, aka familial love. Still love though.

lol She's only apologizing because she knew she got caught. The cheating girl was acting like nothing happened and was willing to let it play out like it was normal if she didn't get called out, even doubling down on her lies earlier until she noticed the MC was completely adamant and unmoved by her lies. And even then, she proceeds as if everything is fine after admitting to cheating and attempting to drag him to a possible pregnancy issue. That's some sociopathic behavior.

aspd.jpg

That aside, it seems like earlier in her life she was already used to covering-up wrong-doings (like this panel, breaking his model and replacing it like it was normal with no guilt whatsoever). So this behavior of hers isn't new and that's a pretty big red flag already.

Also forgetting about cheating for a moment, if this happened to someone like me or another model builder, you can forget about getting kicked out of the place, you're gonna get flung out of the balcony. Especially if the kit is a limited/event only run.

From everything we've seen so far, it seems this is the first time MC was actually firm with Kayo for something serious. He probably never really got angry at Kayo for breaking that model plane.

While this certainly does not excuse the cheating, it seems that MC constantly being easy on Kayo and forgiving her every time contributed to Kayo thinking that MC will always forgive and be there for her. MC basically spoiled Kayo by treating her like a little girl all her life.

And Kayo is not actually apologizing because she was caught cheating. Kayo is apologizing because she knows that she is pregnant and wants MC to be the father.

That is why she is so desperate to get back with MC.
Because she got pregnant with a guy she knew wouldn't take responsibility that's why.

I checked the novel just to confirm Kayo's actual words.
If Kayo really didn't love MC, she would have never refused Iketani in middle school and broke things off then.
When explaining to the MC, Kayo said:
祐介のことは好きだったけど、それがなのか、自分でもわからなかったの
"I liked Yuusuke but whether or not that was love, even I'm not sure"

- Kayo did like Yuusuke, however not as a romantic partner, she herself was unsure. It was because MC was kind she added. Perhaps she enjoyed the idea of being in a relationship that she agreed to it, but it wasn't specifically because she was head over heels for MC. That's why when Iketani approached her again and said he couldn't forget about Kayo, she immediately accepted him again, without any restraint.

When asked why she cheated with Iketani:
これがなのかもしれない、そんな錯覚をしたわたしは、池谷君に誘われるがまま何度...
"Blinded by the illusion that it was love, I was invited by Iketani multiple times...

- There is a clear distinction between the use of 恋 love for Iketani and 好き for MC. This implies Kayo herself was either in denial about her true feelings for MC. It makes a lot more sense when you remember that Iketani knew Kayo way back and even had a relationship with her even before MC. That's why her relationship with Iketani wasn't just a minor fleeting thing to her, it had an impact on her from the very beginning and she was completely aware of that.

As to why she refused Iketani:
- Iketani lived in a different prefecture and he only recently moved. That's why Kayo was surprised when he entered the same school. If they didn't live far away from each other, they definitely have started dating. It wasn't that she refused Iketani (to go with MC), it was she can't physically be with him that time (Although this part wasn't explicitly stated to be the reason). That was way before MC confessed to her.

Also just to add, when she pleads to the MC and promises to stop cheating, she says
しばらく会わないってちゃんと言った
"I told him (Ikenati) I won't meet him for a while"

- MC actually points this out and says it's not "ending it" but "not meet him for a while", indicating Kayo still plans to keep her relationship with Iketani until the club incident cleared up.

Buddy, the girl was doubling down her lies in the chapter before this, she wasn't planning to apologize if she wasn't caught.
Also the point I'm making about the model plane was her behavior, not the model breaking, she wasn't even thinking about how one would feel about that, she thinks replacing it with a cheap knock off is okay.
This is sociopathic behavior and shouldn't be enabled nor excused, as they will think this is okay. You can even ask people related to behavioral studies like this.

EDIT: Here is the chapter and the page where she keeps on insisting with the lie that she was practicing.
This is not okay.

EDIT2: Reading through this again, might actually be BPD. That fear of rejection

So you are confirming what I said about Kayo thinking of MC as a provider for her and her baby.

I don't know about the original novel, but the manga clearly says that Kayo was actively avoiding Iketani for some time. Chapter 6, page 12
When asked why she cheated with Iketani:
これがなのかもしれない、そんな錯覚をしたわたしは、池谷君に誘われるがまま何度...
"Blinded by the illusion that it was love, I was invited by Iketani multiple times...

I think we all knew that it was not some minor thing between Kayo and Iketani. This chapter confirms that those two really had thing for each other before MC ever asked out Kayo. Question is whether or not Kayo actually loved Iketani, or if she loved the excitement of being with Iketani? From your quote from the novel, it seems like even Kayo is not even sure, herself.
As to why she refused Iketani:
- Iketani lived in a different prefecture and he only recently moved. That's why Kayo was surprised when he entered the same school. If they didn't live far away from each other, they definitely have started dating. It seems to me that the novel and the manga are slightly different. Novel Kayo seems to be an unrepentant whore that is only temporarily not seeing Iketani. But manga Kayo seems to actually have real feelings for MC. Manga Kayo tells MC she rejected Iketani's offer because she finally realized that MC was "the only one I truly needed."

I am not saying that Kayo is not a liar at all. I already told you the reason she is now acting remorseful is because she is probably pregnant and her future provider/slave is not having any of it.

And I am not excusing anything she has done at all. Kayo dug her own grave all on her own. I was just explaining that one of the reasons Kayo didn't have regrets before MC broke up with her is because MC was always restrained and treated Kayo with kid gloves all her life. She basically got it into her head that no matter what happens, MC will always be there to forgive her. This is not an excuse for her behavior. What Kayo did is completely wrong. This is merely giving a partial reason explaining her mentality.
