I'm just going to say:
This is fiction and we know the mind of Ayano, and all of Fumi's actions so you're pretty much correct.
This does not reflect opinion of real-world events where as @PseudoAngel implies you need to error strongly on protection of vulnerable and impressionable children because you DON'T know those factors.

Though I will repeat a story I've told in other chapters: One of my highschool teachers ended up dating and marrying a former student. I found out about this through her friends at another classmate's wedding; none of them thought he was a creep because "[dating his former student] definitely wasn't his idea".
And I think we can agree that a non-work relationship with Ayano is DEFINITELY not Fumi's idea.
