........................... Can someone explain to me why char lost his memory and why she can’t tell him who she is? I just reread chapters 13 and 12 but they were of no help. I guess it’s been too long since I’ve last read this manga. Maybe it’s for the best that I don’t remember and I let this one fade into oblivion

(I had the same problem~) but from what I could understand, char is loosing his powers and is become weak (that's why he sometimes changes into a child form), and to prevent that he needs to go back to his world or he will die. He can't bring Rin with him, but they have a contract and I guess they can't be appart because of it? so the only way for char to go back while leaving her in the human world is apparently for him to forget Rin and the contract.
and if he remembers her I guess he will want to stay again
