On page 21, Lloyd queried about power wasted, that's a conversation they had in the novel when elaine first assessed his magic usage very early on. Obviously that bit was not included in the manga, so mangaka must have overlooked that when inserting that line here.

Lloyd does not like the butterflies. In one of the novel SS, he burned a whole swarm of it when they followed behind elaine.

I think the font works well.
Just a heads up, not sure if it is intentional, on page 23 you refer to the monster as "great spider" and then on 24 as "giant spider". Not sure if it was in reference to the muted and non-mutated version or just a small mistake.

Thank you for giving me the heads up. Fixed. The kanji for that is interchangeable with either. I have a very short memory and tbh I sometimes forget what exact name I give to things and have to look back at previous chapters to be consistent, and I can't believe I missed this one, lol.

Thanks for translating and editing as usual, sophrenia! I can't fault the font you used this chapter either - looking great!

I have just been wondering: I love Elaine's name. However I read the first few pages of TokyoPop's translation and they translated her "ire-nu" to Irene instead?! Isn't the infamous, betrothed-to-Lloyd, Princess Irene an Irene as well? Elaine for our main heroin is so much better! This is so confusing.

Ahah, yeah. I'm not sure if I mentioned it here, but I remember I did write a long explanation on bato for that.
See, her name is written イレーネ in japanese, which phonetically reads iraynay. Which I mulled on whether to westernize it as either elaine or illene. But I never considered it as Irene because I do read the novels and I know the princess 's name is アイリーン irene/aileen. And it didn't make sense to have those two names translated too close to each other especially when you can hear in the drama cd lloyd and saltis calling her illene/ elaine and most definitely not irene no matter how you contort your mind to it. Case in point in this clip

At 0:28 mark.
Also like I said in bato, I decided on the name saltis instead of sartis because if it had been sartis, his nickname would be sart and that would rhyme with fart and that was no bueno for me.
So yeah. The mangaka seemed to go along with the official english name, but with the stubbornness of a donkey, I'm dying on this name hill
I have no idea how they're going to pull the official english name in the anime especially when you can hear the pronunciation there.
