Well, this isn’t BL, really.
This is general romance, but the main couple is two guys. It isn’t in the BL section of Pixiv, it’s in romance.

BL has a format and flow, and it can be kind of basic and rote. The more problematic parts of it have been shunted off to the cursed world of omegabarf.
If it lasts past the main characters dating it has to break out of them to a degree.
Sasaki and Miyano is a good example. It has the BL flow but the panel after the first kiss BAM gay romance. The entire tone and structure shifts. It has to, because BL doesn’t usually go past that.

Yuri is a similar situation.

More and more queer manga is breaking out of those tropes, and getting more realistic.

Ah I apologize. Originally the word use is 違う(Chigau) which can mean different or wrong depending on the context. I didn't realized that 違う(Chigau) has 2 different meaning to it so I end up using the wrong definition for this context, so I apologize.

A story can be anywhere on a realism gradient.
Old BL was less realistic than newer, on average.
Same with yuri.

I think this sums up what's going on.

From what I've read and seen, you'd get higher quality and more accurate translations from the OG group. And it may be preferable if sniping leaves a bad taste (it does for me).

There was some tension in the Discord group, but the OG translator is still continuing. It's still unclear why this translator insists on sniping this manga while a perfectly capable translator is already working on it though

Yeah idk maybe they can see this being their big break for translating since this mangas so good, either way man it kinda sucks it’s getting messy especially when we’re nearing the more juicy parts story wise. Like I wanna read TF out of these chapters but I don’t wanna use their chapters, leaves a bad taste in my mouth
