@traveling_chef This is something I want to say about a lot of series be it a manga or novel: Just enjoy it, if you don't like it then stop, if you find something strange then continue to read to see if there's an explanation, if until the END there's no explanation then finally you can say anything you want, I will even join you, that's what reading a story is.

I can disagree with a choice the author makes, say it's useless, and be wrong. there is no magic rule somewhere that says I can't be wrong about something, apologize about it, and stand corrected for future sake.

right now, I think the changes is utterly pointless.

if in the future this change is of significance, I will apologize for being wrong, and reform my opinion based on new facts.

you can disagree with a story element and still enjoy that story.

I think right now, no, I FEEL, RIGHT NOW, that changing the small background characters that just cease to be in the novel (more or less) is useless and arbitrary.
