I really appreciate his anecdotes about struggling with his craft. You never see a story like that in so many manga that are "about" making a manga (or film or whatever), meanwhile, it's the most relatable and human part of trying to create something.
Instead you always see the, "Amazing Protagonist-kun! You placed first in the competition!" or "Your manga is going viral!" and all that shit. Granted, making it the former and not being doomer about it takes craft, so I can see why they just go for the brainless success fantasy.
