At first I thought the other two were faking it to get them together, but then they showed them at the end and they actually were sick. I guess they're all too dorky to think of pulling a stunt like that on purpose anyway.

The entire chapter was from Yushin's PoV. He's definitely fallen. I wonder if we'll get the same event next time but from Mirei's PoV.

To be honest, Mirei hasn't realized her feelings at all yet, and if Yushin were to confess now, there's a good chance she would be shocked or even afraid. It's probably too early for these dorks.

I wonder what sort of horrible mutant death-flu it was that it managed to take out Subaru.

So precious.. Yushin needs to man up and confess!

I hope the next update is Mirei freaking out about how hard it was for her to act normal with Yushin.

You know, that's a good point.
Flu is a bizarre disease, the vaccines against it don't seem to have any effect at reducing mortality in the most vaccinated age group. It spreads between populations faster than be accounted for by transmission models, with different species being simultaneously affected without interspecies transmission.
Bizarrely it seems to actually affect the strongest individuals the worst especially men.
The weirdest thing about it is that according to medical records it didn't exist before around the 1880s, there were instances recorded but the annual cyclic intense flu season did not exist, its name influenza stems from the beliew that it originated from the pernicious effects of the stars being associated with comets or solar flairs.
Something happened around the 1880 that caused it to radically change.

I blame ragtime.
