Right? It's just childish behaviour! "Oh so I messed up once, let me just drop the whole thing and pretend another's life does not depend entirely on my decisions now".She's right, at least he realizes how shitty he behaved. But for never trying to fix it, give him that punch.
likewise. i can relate deeply to him but alas he’s fictional and i live in realityDude was absolutely ready to catch some hands for being a fuckup of a dad. I can respect that.
I can't imagine I would do better given the situation.
Not trying to justify his actions, but he and Chika were dealt the WORST hand. It would be one thing if the mother died, but she LEFT. I can hate the man for breaking his child, but at the same time, if you hated him you got to abhor the mom for being the one that set the first crack for both. The most messed up thing about this situation is that, even though he feels guilty for saying it, it might still hold true. Even if he doesn’t hate his son, doesn’t mean he can find it in himself to love him. Some people just aren’t meant to be parents, but wind up in the position regardless. (Though the story could go in any direction. Maybe they can reconcile and build a new relationship, or maybe they just go their separate ways, who knows)
