Practically everyone in the extended cast is here, even the former antagonists, and this chapter's buildup to the performance is hammering over and over again – in a good way – that THIS IS THE END, THIS IS WHAT THE WHOLE SERIES HAS BEEN BUILDING TOWARDS. The anticipation is through the roof. We may get some epilogue/wrap-up chapters but we're truly at the endgame with this performance.

This volume has a lot of payoffs earned from past character development. There are so many people in the crowd who the koto club have touched in some way.
I think the Nationals could go in either direction, Tokise winning or falling to Ichiei. The only unresolved issue with Tokise's koto playing is Momoya's fill-ins. He could be the key in elevating them to the next level.
