I'm assuming this is like the stupid time loopiness like in Final Fantasy 8, all of this is how it was supposed to be. The Book never mentions why things happen for that reason.

If I was FMC I'd point out Prince kept pestering for more revealing stuff and if he retaliates against that it'd be tyranical.

I don't really feel like anything bad actually happening fits with the vibes of the series so far. I doubt the series is going to force her brother to die and she's probably going to avoid the prince shutting down the tavern and just set him down the road to being a better person through another means.
