Yeah it really makes use of the fact that it's a manga about creating manga to do some really creative and fun composition. It's such a joy to read

i was amazed at the ⬅️ panel pages in the other chapter as well, what a fun way to show the progression of events— and the panelling in the manga to her mom was really nice as well :,-) such cool art!!

I get the feeling this author fetishises lesbianism just a lil' bit - there's a lesbian aspect to half the chapters so far (the hand holding in this chapter, the kiss last chapter, and the lesbian cats story).
Not that it's a bad thing, just a quirk of the dude's work I'm noticing in this series.
