small TL note for clarification: on pg 1 ,Masaki says お兄ちゃん (onii-chan), but cuts her self off and says 兄 (ani), but I didn't think putting down ani would work well so I went with 兄さん (nii-san) instead.
Only the most anal retentive would disapprove of something reasonable like that. That said, I run into those all the time (usually dealing with anime adaptations). I usually just tell them if they can't accept compromises required in translation/adaptation then they should just learn Japanese and exclusively read the untranslated source material.

Thanks, I'm about to run into a similar issue soon for the term sister-in-law, (義理の姉) which in romaji is giri no ane. I'm thinking of leaving it as Onne-san.
