I can't believe it's only two chapter left to be over.
It was really interesting and those two could have a longer story.
Sigh

So in the end the only one who've won is Babylon? And on top of that they now know Rose's real face. Great. Mighty unfortunate.

I hope the next two chapters left some clever roundabout way for Rose to finally free herself and be together with Benika. But as of now I could see them together, but I don't see her doing something unrelated to murdering people though. Hm.

Kinda arguable, since the goal was preventing that uprising in the first place.

Just why the church thought now would be a good time ... doesn't really make any sense though. Who knows. There's probably going to be some convoluted handwaved asspull ^^

Thanks for the translation!

yeah the father is again just telling the truth as it is. to rose, or to any refugee, those jobs she could get are no more dirtier than being a hitman because of the heavy exploition that would come from doing them. shed be stuck in place no ability to move in society but down. payed a penny when the bosses make millions, the laws dont protect the refugees and they probably never will. so why should they be obedient?

however being a hitman doesnt care about refugee or natural born, it pays decent either way. it needs to pay well to get the demand filled as noone wants to dirty their hands with blood for cheap, if avoidable. its a filthy job, but it allows her to be in a semi-decent position.

Are we reading the same manga?

Babylon's deal with Rose was to have her cut her relationship with Benika and focus on doing what they want.

Meanwhile their global agenda of slowly integrating refugees into society have been shot in the face. Unless some miraculous resolution or deus ex machine is suddenly pulled to resolve things. That plan is as good as dead.

The church's plan of integrating refugees through shock therapy realistically is unachievable, the only reason it was launched now is because they armed rebels and were ready to go. There were no time estimates it just happened to be now.

I'd rather question whether we are reading the same post ^^;

Because

that's what I am saying?

You said "So in the end the only one who've won is Babylon?" I'm pointing out that there plan is dead. So they haven't. Yeah, they got Rose. But they were ready to let her go; this wasn't specifically about her. It was about preventing that uprising. They aren't "winning". Which you seem to agree with, so ...

The church's plan of integrating refugees through shock therapy realistically is unachievable, the only reason it was launched now is because they armed rebels and were ready to go. There were no time estimates it just happened to be now.
That's far too much of a random coincidence. The crux (ha) was the rosary; they tucked that away to "safety" (a stupid nonsense concept anyway, I mean narratively ^^) and then lost it to Babylon, precisely what they wanted to prevent. Then this happend. It's not unrelated.

Hm. The idea presumably is that losing the rosary means their plot could be exposed and that's why they have to act now. But I don't think it was planned; in a way, Babylon through their actions forced the church's hand.

Yes, I've commented on the chapter. They've achieved their short-term goals.

And if you'd go back a couple dozen of chapters when the head of the Church and Babylon talked to each other, it was stated that the Church was already prepared for large scale operation.

Edit: Also, the manga is about Rose. The church x babylon conflict is a setting Her story is set in. This manga is not long enough to cover the conflict between them. So, I couldn't care less about it as much as I care about Rose, Benika and Benika's Father.
