I wonder why something like this would get axed. It had good pacing, good storyline and plot progression. Not enough fanservice? Didn't inject a love triangle at the editor's demand? Doesn't make sense.

Same with Piggy Duke really. Decent story, had a lot more source material even and poof. Shame.
the story was OK, not as great as you think it was, the plot as issues and the storyline wasn’t that great, oh and the pacing for efing sakes! so yeah i can see way it will get axed

It was a little half baked, but I liked how it was trying something different and there was something charming about it too. I was looking forward to new chapters. Alas. Hoping their next manga takes a leap forward.

Makes sense it was axed, but it would be nice to see a sequel around these two if possible.

Most likely wishful thinking…

Well we were right about those two definitely needing to get together.
Real shame this got axed. Merceny Girl School Life also got axed, as did Teapot Hero. Seems like half of everything good gets axed these days.

Hibai (or should I say, "Kathy") really just fishing for anything she can get out of the deal while obviously wanting in on it is one way or another? Oh I so wish the author will find the time they need for this sequel of theirs eventually. This bonus chapter has convinced me that there's enough potential between these two alone, let alone the main couple in addition.

I feel like the story started out as a romantic comedy and then when the Coffeeshop meetup happened it hard pivoted into Drama bordering on Thriller, only to then swerve into the disaster that is the whole Hibai and Gina mission. its the best story ive read on Mangadex so far (been avoiding starting the manga for Bookworm), but i feel like it went to the Ultimate Mission in act 1 and it was forced into a situation it could never hope to execute well. There should have been escalation of assassinations alternating dates upto the Church Hit
Merceny Girl School Life also got axed.
that at least makes sense when you read the author's other works. their nasty habit of wanting to only write a protagonist for one book has poisoned everything ive read of theirs and their stories start out really good. In my own personal writing, i at least am using the Deuteragonist PoV to balance out the protagonist's life until what will be the conclusion when they meet again, and have actual reason for the reader to be invested in both sides of the story rather then trying to make me care about some secondary bit character. Rory/Lauri doesnt feel like a character so much as a bit piece to take away from Sierra in that, and Hein actively harms the narrative as a barely properly handled Chekhov's traitor in Hitokiri, not really allowing anything to properly develop beyond exactly how wet Shurine's mere presence makes Lutecia during book 2.
