This world is messed up. You impose unjust laws because you're scared for your town, you die by a deity's curse. You kill at least two innocent people, you get told to not do it again.

Well, supposedly the villagers getting picked off (not just the 2 in the barracks) is cause-and-effect to the forest getting cleared and the vampire's choosing a carnivore as their livestock.

They should have learned animal husbandry and tamed forest dwelling herbivores, but the vampires are "isekai-handicapped" too.

@Amaterasu93 As for "Lawful," you could say that her being able to read and write as well as outright telling MC that she's the daughter of the vampire chieftain would place her as "foreign invader" and falls under a non-local rule set. From that, the contract to not eat the townsfolk acts as a written "treaty."

I'm not against her treatment as much as I dislike how the Spirit's decisions are more based on what the author wants from the plot than being an actual character in the story. Which makes the decisions taken seem arbitrary in terms of the story.

Also hope the bald guy gets a redemption thing. Dude isnt evil, his past trauma is a valid reason for his beliefs. He seems to want to help, but because of his parents murder of course he would hate.

@Amaterasu93 - I am under impression that spirit is particularly sensitive to laws.
Lots of people killed? That's something people have lords and armies for.
Unjust laws? That's a reason for a spirit's wrath.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think people should learn to dig better wells that don't depend on spirit's mercy. Or learn to collect rainwater - there seems to be enough rain for everybody.
