...Please fucking tell me she wasn't being literal here. Because... 300 million? Just... no.
To add some details, the medieval society possesses a number of space age technology machines which they unknowingly regards as ancient magic relics. The new character has been shown to be from the space age society as well and is more experienced and skilled than our MC. As for why she's been there for who knows how long, it's not shown yet.
What is this plot devolving into? Weren't they supposed to have constant communication with him? Like the fact they still act clueless baffles me, the AI should be able to keep track and listen in constantly.
Also, if this is some kind of a scheme and the mystery lady is part of the military, she basically committed an assault on a superior officer.
Logically speaking, if they had someone that outranked him then this whole convoluted setup could be avoided by simply approaching him and introducing themselves.Wasn't Alan's promotion to Captain of the ship a provisional promotion because he's the only surviving crewmember, and Imperial Military Regulations state that the Captain of a ship must be a Human and can't be an AI? And that cloned crewmembers don't count?
Did it appear in the raws that they went over anything about Imperial regulations, like if Alan's provisional captain rank makes him an actual captain in regards to the chain of command with other Human officers?
I believe this was guessed ages ago but I always just assumed it was an Interstellar situation where FTL travel and wormhole fuckery led to imperial ships from the present/future being sent into the distant past.To add to the fuckery, according to the dating that they were able to do on the planet's ancient relics, they are older than the fucking Empire themself IIRC. They are... ridiculously old.
Which means that either the time has drastically passed, or something about the Empire isn't known. Either way, they have Empire tech and it's technology that is older than should be theoretically possible. And they don't know it's Empire tech (well, most of them anyways).
After the first wall that was indeed not equipped with weapons, the enemy had to pass through The Great Demon Forest (that's the name right?) which was full of high-level monsters. Only then did they have to face the second and third walls that were equipped with defensive weapons. So, 50.2 raw is on the site:
The magic artilleries shown are basically:
Trebuchet/catapult thing that throws rockets (no I don't know why it can't JUST be rocket either)
And field cannon that use multiple people's mana to charge up.
Atm the defense side let Alois army shoot and take down the outer most wall (which iirc is just for appearance anyway)
Meanwhile on Alan side the mystery lady open Alan's cell and tell him "it's time to fulfill your duty"
(note that for how blunt she speaks, she still add 'kakka/your excellency' when addressing Alan)
The communications are jammed so the drones lose track of him. What is this plot devolving into? Weren't they supposed to have constant communication with him? Like the fact they still act clueless baffles me, the AI should be able to keep track and listen in constantly.
I don't know if the translator was joking or if it was a translation error, my MTL said "3 drones". And fyi, MC side has 82 drones.300 million drones? Surprised they fit in the airspace, and even more surprised they managed to stay stealthed.
If they got that many guarding their captain, the drones protecting their base should also be enough to easily handle 100k humans
Makes sense imo, since nanoms can regrow lost limbs, lol.The really dumb part of 50.2 is (if the MTL is accurate) the AI suggesting he can escape his cuffs by cutting off one of his hands or feet? I dunno sometimes. Such a throwaway of two frames.
So the past 3 or 4 chapters isn't the original source material, the original story has been on hiatus for like 4 years or something, the past few chapters is some other writer who seems to have no clue what's going on and butchering everything the story has built up, seemingly in a rush to end the story as soon as possible.I gotta go back and reread the last 10 chapters or something cuz the girl just came out of nowhere, infiltrated their base, and now beat Alan.
Which by itself gives you a clear indication that you are dealing with an enemy that has Imperial, military-great equipment. The communications are jammed so the drones lose track of him.
that ignores the obvious advance tech they have. take a look at the chariot from a few chapters back. it uses things that would require at least modern levels of tech to build. the wheel alone looked to be a modern day rubber offroad truck tire which implies all kinds of advancements in production quality.who cares if they have 100k, they are medieval militia and knights while you have futuristic machineguns, they could be 1 million of them and you'd still win with ease.
i guess the girl has given up all loyalties to the empire and only live for money without morals on this planet now
did you miss the part where comms are being jammed? What is this plot devolving into? Weren't they supposed to have constant communication with him? Like the fact they still act clueless baffles me, the AI should be able to keep track and listen in constantly.

Nanodrones, a theoretical technology, the size of a virus or bacteria, it would make sense 300 million could follow him, the size wouldn't even make up the size of a small glass of water if they are nanoscopic.
...Please fucking tell me she wasn't being literal here. Because... 300 million? Just... no.
There's also the fact that there's no more material left to adapt so the mangaka is just making shit up as he goes along. So this medieval society is still a threat with space age technology and Alan is effortlessly dispatched by a character that’s existed for a couple chapters. Do I have that right?
Jamming, it's simply magical. It's some magical neither he or the AI reacted to it as you would expect them to.did you miss the part where comms are being jammed?

Checked the raw, and this was a mistranslation. It should be 3 drones.
