Now this is a far more believable chapter. Way more grounded without relying on either magic or sci-fi shenanigans. Wouldn't be out of place in a series without either, and sounds like something that could have already happened in the real world.
A rebellion plot decades in the making by their enemies, meticulously planned to even deal with intercepting royal messengers to hinder reinforcements. All without getting found out, even though the king himself already had his suspicions.
Without the OP MC around for once, it feels a bit refreshing without his usual OP shenanigans to solve problems in the blink of an eye. I'm sure he somehow could've turned the tables on the rebels if he was around at this point.
