Other manga treat relationships like some mythical thing that requires the planets to align to work.

This is the difference between a mangaka writer who actually knows how real people act, vs some socially awkward otaku writer whose only frame of reference for relationships is cringe self-insert manga.

I love how natural their conversation feels and then I go read other romance manga and 99% of them are too cowardly to have them even kiss and sex cannot even be remotely implied. That would be a huge break from the norm. So far serialization looks like doing entirely its own thing. They are not "together" but they are pretty much exclusive since we have seen how they both rejected the advances of the people from their respective workplaces.

The whole point of the manga is a relationship centered a round sex and friendship without the need of romance.
