see many dump, force drama before, and i don't thing this is one of them. people spread rumor with less. this give them a motive to act that stupid, so it aint coming out of nowhere.

there are also one element i feel like everyone forget about, that 1 year before there are an accident, that make every body probably assume she is super experienced in romance and what not, there are 2 people come to her for love advice. We know MC can be clueless, but not the other character.

-Also the male teacher clearly have that intend, he may not plan the "how about we just going out for real" before hand, but sure know better and would would totally NOT suggest they met alone outside school and all if he have no intend. and he seem to really surprise that she really react angry and said his is tasteless joke, maybe he assume she do pick up his hint.
-the kid, hear that from her parent who saw them together, who see the male teacher who have eye for her. and you may not know but telephone game information can go very wild. Especially after the male teacher just got another love confession, sensei must feel jealous and got him all to herself is a fitting their bias narrative, And after that, a simple "nah we are not" would never enough to convincing for them.

-Same with the blonde kid, he catch that. and remember someone else catch him "you like sensei right", which he deny but we know she is correct.
so who to say which is which aside from the person themselves

Yeah this feels contrived to me as well even though the pieces are all in place (naïve and pushover MC, hormonal teenagers, etc). I wonder how the other teachers are if students are emboldened to accost their teacher right in the hallway (and seems to be near teachers' office as well!).

I really liked the first 2 chapters and how they moved the plot along but this set of events makes me worried for a bit. Miscommunication between 2 characters I can excuse but a boat load of them? I guess we'll just see how this will progress.

Yea naw I'm not along for the ride for whatever this nonsense is.

"Consider other people's feelings sometime" how about you kids do that, come the fuck on. It's her life, not yours. It'd be fine if one or two students here had this shit attitude, but it seems like literally everyone around her does, which is what makes the whole thing feel contrived. She's not given any differing opinion.

I know right? They're teenagers but blaming her for not blowing him off is so stupid lol
and she was not doing a good job of defending herself either, the dialogue in this chapter felt so contrived

Guess there’s just a stigma against men and women looking too close

Teens can be dumb when I was their age a new friend/student my friend group made, there was soon a rumor about me and him dating which I normally wouldn’t have cared about but it was quite perplexing as he was very openly, flamboyantly gay and I didn’t rly see that tomboyish even tho I didn’t dress super feminine but if anything it was rare to see a female student /not/ in jeans lol

But it does seem like that male sensei is manipulating things behind the scenes but I imagine even in a western school unless it’s super liberal or ur openly married most ppl wouldn’t be like “im gay/a lesbian” (some students wouldn’t care enough but I imagine they casually mention it to a homophobic parent there’d be backlash even if legally they couldn’t get fired over it)

While I don’t currently think he’s a creep, I think he just gives off a weird vibe because of the way the story is framed. It’s being told from the perspective of a teacher who cares a great deal about her students thoughts and feelings. Meanwhile Itaoka has been shown to be fairly dismissive of the students feelings.
He isn't being dismissive though. He was actually pretty empathic in the way he articulated the feelings of the girls who confessed to him. The fact that he just avoids the subject is actually extremely normal of him. Imagine a teacher having to go around rejecting a dozen teenage girls every school year. Even if that's not technically wrong it's a weird and demanding situation to be in.

What is going on in this school ?
Just because she eat in a restaurant with her colleague, everyone want to crucified her on the public place ?
This school is a sect, and Itaoka is the great leader ! I don't any other explanation.

And who didn't even care to go look after her ? Ms.Nami ! Such a coward.
The MC deserve so much better.
After what happened, personally, I would demand to be transfer in another school. No one respect her.

I didn't want to point it out but on the cover we see the hand of another person. Their hands are pretty big and "masculine". I really hope it's not the guy she speaks with at the end. Going to the teacher's room and "menacing her" to lock the door next time and, maybe, put a letter in her bag.
Mr.Oda, I would advise you to stop doing that.

Even though, I think it's the girl, Nakanishi, who has a crush on her and ask Oda, her BFF/childhood friend (maybe), to help her with the letter.

And I almost forgot, "you are a male and female teachers", really fuck you Oda. So what ? And who talks like that ? Is he a masculinist ?
"Male, female", "0, 1", "d*ck, p*ssy". He's a teenager, but fuck you.

this is literally why teachers become more distant to their student as they age

maybe it's a cultural thing too but outside of some animanga 'student teacher romcoms' i can't imagine any teenager i knew openly admitting to having a crush on the teachers we had/wouldn't think of dating someone not within our own age or potentially a college student at most, not that there were any older graduates lingering around luckily (tho i think any 'news'/scandals that came outta the places i went to were more drug focused than an improper relationship)

i guess asia is pretty conservative despite the stereotype/pressure of 'office workers drinking with boss' after work but i imagine teachers get slightly more of a break from that since having a hangover before work is a bit more inappropriate in a school setting but i guess they gotta pump up the drama in this story (tho you'd think some wouldn't openly thirst over a male teacher b/c there might be other male teachers trying to make a move but any 'good' teacher def wouldn't see them as a potential partner even if this was a college setting but i guess ppl would let that slide)

idk how easy it is to transfer into another school but while it's prolly not socially accepted to be 'out' as a teacher in front of minors/younger students i wonder how many ppl would notice/realize if some were to wear like a 'lesbian color scarf' or wristband to school

altho i wonder how ppl's parents would react if all the female students were thrown under the bus so to speak and being like "oh, all my female students keep talking about how 'attractive' our one popular male teacher is', other than some parents dismissing it as a crush hopefully some others would be concerned enough to be like 'a student/teacher relationship' would be hard to be accepted in society' if not straight up 'we'll disown you if you get pregnant' or something

Yuh... I think the next few chapters will get annoying to read because of this drama and those braindead students.
I'm gonna let some chapters stack up until I pick up with this manga again.

Nah he's for sure a creep so far. I've worked at a school before and had to ask for advice from people who had worked for longer, and if they took that chance to hit on me I'd be creeped the fuck out. Don't mack on people when it's inappropriate to do so everyone!

i had high hopes for this one but this all feels extremely off. like others are saying, cheap drama with contrived writing. none of the characters feel believable

Maybe the guy should have considered that the fact she's being harrassed by her students for those exact moves means it's probably not a good idea to shoot your shot right now

He's no smooth operator that's for sure. Obviously his timing and methods aren’t the best but you folks are on him about some incredibly normal social interactions.
I'd be one thing if he were being pushy and vulgar about it but the most that he's done is made some light comments trying to gauge her interest.

Awkward situations happen between perfectly normal people all the time with nothing sinister about it. Not being able to recognize mild awkwardness for what it is and blowing it out of proportion so that he's some terrifying creep is so weird.

I never said he's some terrifying creep lmfao, but I think he's being creepy because she's made it abundantly clear she's not interested, his timing is awful and she needs his help. This is the trifecta of don't mack on someone and a bit more than just a tiny bit awkward. The fact that she's currently asking for his help with something she's obviously distressed over is what I consider crossing the boundary of a bit awkward and into creep territory. I would have no issues with his behaviour if it wasn't for the context surrounding their interactions.

He’s definitely a creep and just not a good person too for the reasons everyone stated already. He should be helping Kaede clear up this misunderstanding so these entitled students stop harassing her, but he’s instead actively making it worse and is not taking it seriously at all.

Hopefully, this ridiculous drama gets resolved too since students should not be treating their teacher (or really anyone) like this. However, this drama is definitely gonna get dragged out for no reason. I find this to be a really annoying subplot, but I want to read on to at least learn about the mystery love letter sender.
