@kazu19 There's a maximum possible potential for a lifetime. Even though he is working on all of his attributes now, he still has a lower maximum possible potential in Red magic then he does in any other magic.
From Chapter 1:

As you can see when he went back, his max stats didn't change. Red still maxes out at 62 while Green maxes out at 99 and spirit maxes out at 97.
In other words even if he dedicates himself to red magic YET AGAIN, he will still hit his cap at 62 which was the entire reason he was booted from the position in the first place. He could instead work on becoming the best Green mage while also working on Red on the side and get recognized as the best Green, but he isn't for some unknown reason. Heck he could even do it with Spirit if he wanted to.

@Defenerateafro he could even go for void too his 89 cap is exception in that area. Actually he could go for any of the other magic atributes but Red. I don't even know why he's so stubbornly attached to the Red attribute. Specially when it brought him so many problems in his past life.

He still knows all of his red mage spells, it's the easiest area for him to max out quickly, and while he's on his way to mastering all magic: "fuck you I want my 'best red mage' title back".

@Amplify the only problem with that is Milly is better than him at red magic. So as long as he is around her, she's bound to catch up and surpass him meaning he wouldn't keep the red title for long. I'm pretty sure that's what was hinted at in chapter 1 when he lost his title in the first place. The big challenge right now would be to get Redia any type of magic affinity unless the plan is to make her an "engineer" or maybe just a big tank like her father.

@degenerateafro Level isn't everything, but application of skills knowing them and possibly creating new magics. Not sure how the magic system works but I imagine a very skilled level 50 in say red could beat say a level 65 red mage if they were the same overall level using only red magic if there isn't a mana pool per magic type which i doubt it is. There is probably a limit to the delta if you are only allowed to use x magic when challenging x magic master. It takes a certain amount of magic to block another and higher leveled skills will be much harder to block or parry with weaker magic. so dodging is all they havee.

He still knows all his spells like the time jump and everything else as I understand it and Milly doesn't, either way he'd get to hold the title for longer than he originally did and I doubt he'd mind giving it up to Milly if that's how it has to go eventually. He didn't say he wants to hold onto the title forever, he just wants to get it.

@degenerateafro did you even properly read my comment? I said he "was" dedicated to red magic on his past life when he didnt knew that it was his lowest. He is now working on every magic on his second life. You gave the stats yourselves, how can you not notice that all of his magic stats are now almost even, not to mention higher than his previous life's stats, besides red and blue. Hell, only blue is lower than red right now. Isnt that proof enough for you? He also summoned a servant/familiar now with his spirit magic and has been focusing on it for the past few chapters as well.
