You're trying too hard to find faults. It's a bit weird.

You do realize it's just.. a manga, right?

...these comments about him and his harem. Dude is mentally 60ish years old. He doesnt even see them as love interest, more like littld children that hes taking care of....

@Milkshake Even so, they, the girls, don't see it that way.
It wouldn't be surprising if he got "attacked" at night by one of them sooner or later.

i get all the points about zeff and not being interested in girls because hes mentally 60 but hes also not, its been shown that his current younger self has his own will too so there is no reason for this whole noble high road of romantic justice for the sake of tropes and plot. i dont mind power trips and diving into passions but you also got to enjoy the little things to which is kinda why he joined milly in the first place, to go on an adventure. plus to dangle harem and romcom tropes all over this is even more frustrating. otherwise its a pretty good series it just seems like mangaka either cant or wont write romance into their isekai/reincarnation stories instead opting for the shounen route (like this, a straight craving for power and the quest to get it) or typical isekai crap there are exceptions of course. if there is romance there is usually something very shitty about the story like himekishi ga classmate or maou no hajimekata otherwise a blush is usually all you get from mc.

Is there a way to read this translated in better quality ? The low resolution is really off-putting.

The fact that the author wants the MC to a complete old man despite his current self still having a will is an outstanding way to kill your manga. This shit can't be classified as romance if he just looks at every woman even adult women as fucking children. I like this manga and the setting is neat but I can't stand if things don't progressive at all with the actual characters.

Why are these support characters like mc so common, i mean if the mc is following some why wasn't that person the mc in the first place? Two quotes that i never thought would come from a mc: "my dream is to see your dream come true" from moji tsukai, and this one in this manga "both your strength and potential are higher than mine". I get it that the mc doesn't have to be the strongest one but shouldn't he be the making the choices? At least about his own "path"?

@Alncst:

You seem to feel that a protagonist should be the dominant force in a story. I'd disagree with that—plenty of good stories have been told of people who have very little power in their environment.

...But I'm frankly amazed that you can say with a straight face that Zeff is a support character, in a story that's such a blatant power fantasy centered around him... =_=;

@Alncst how's he really a support character? he's basically leading them just subtlety even if milly's officially the leader it's pretty obvious he decides what they should do. Him taking a step back and going with the flow's just cause he wants to try something different from his original life where he spent his whole life doing nothing but researching magic.

@Alncst: I get where you're coming from, but you gotta remember that everything you described is exactly what he did in his first life. The whole point of his second life is not to repeat the same mistakes he made. He knows he's limited and that he's not always right, which is why he's ok with someone else taking the leadership role. That being said, the real leader still defers to his judgement since he's more knowledgeable, but he defers to her since her ambition and willpower is greater than his and helps drive him to be better.

@Jesotku: Respectfully disagree. A lot of progress has been made. MC went from being a self-absorbed loner to someone who values his team. The three girls are romantically involved, but it was thanks to the MC's actions. True, the MC is unable to let go of his old man thinking, but he's not the 1st MC to do this. He's also still only 12 years old, meaning a lot has happened, but not much time has passed (maybe about half a year approximately). It's gonna take quite a few years before he acclimatizes to being a young man again. I imagine there'll be a timeskip where all 4 of them are in their late teens (or in Redia's case mid 20's) before it happens. It's all in due time...

Honestly not that bad of a mango.

Though the protagonist's time should've been explained a lot more, it heckin' confusing and poor on that part.
