If a kingdom's major city is so unsafe that gangsters can overpower multiple soldiers in a very short time, to kidnap a high noble daughter, then the kingdom is doomed, unless something drastic is done very soon. Nothing in this series so far has indicated the kingdom would be on the verge of internal collapse. Miranda seems to have overprotective people around her. Not that I'd particularly blame those people; she's rather peculiar (in more ways than just being an uncle from an extended family), so it's natural they would be worried.

So far this gets me thinking of the original Miranda’s repeats from ch. 1.
Presumably she died many times and keep looping, and I think we’re seeing more and more of the flags (or rather landmines) that the original stepped on.
So far, there are sooo many things that could have gone wrong and affected her life had she not been the what she is now, for example:

1. The original would not have been able to make her own industry, she would not have been seen in such positive light

2. Also, the original would not have as much money

3. The original would have ended up in a factional dispute with the factions of the two other girls, they would have ended up as enemies or simply don’t care about each other

4. Later it is possible it devolves into a civil war since there was both political factions butting heads and also military factions that maybe doing the same. —-> death flag here
By centralizing the command she reduced possible unnecessary conflicts in the military.
With the kids friends with each other, she also plays a role in reducing the tension within the political factions.

5. Had things stayed tense, other things that could happen is assassination since she would have been fiancee or candidate at least (or simply by a rival faction) —-> death flag here

6. Had she failed to become Teal’s fiancee she would have ended up with someone much older (and is probably not a nice person) —-> death flag here

7. It is also possible that the original Teal was also not a very nice person —-> death flag here

8. Had the original ended up as a fiancee, it is possible she could not keep up with the education (since she was not a normal person), then ended up going to town incognito to blow off steam only to get involved in things —-> death flag here
