I love that the timelines, whilst sometimes altered, are still following the same beats. And it seems there is a basic/childish hierarchical dynamic between the demons: whoever is strongest gets to be boss. But the black mist control doesn’t FEEL like a simple usurping tactic. It feels far more sinister, and that doesn’t seem to align with any of the current generals. Whilst Nefi is sneaky, she has an elder sibling vibe rather than a one upmanship. Lapience is too devoted to Milf-Ina, and Kiana would think anything but a frontal assault would be cowardly. And then Maria…

Maria has a blasphemy kink. Mind controlling the Demon Lord to be murderous doesn’t exactly feel blasphemous. CORRUPTING her would be more her style. And Maria is based that it’s her bare FEET that’s the “wrong” part of her conduct, not the rest of her nakedness 😎

So each timeline contains different events happening all at once that Cecilia encounters, sounds fun and chaotic. Milfina was absolutely adorable in this chapter, something about an all powerful being who also happens to be kind and severely naive always gets my interest up even more for their characters. Her dynamic with Cecilia really is endearing.

I've started to notice the character eyes is the playing card symbols. Lapience the club, Kiana the spades, Nefi the diamond and Maria the Hearts. I wonder if there is a hidden Joker one that is pulling the strings later on in the story.

This story feels like it’s trying to do too many things in too small of a space. That’s kinda making the dialogue suffer when it has to carry weight, but the interactions with the demon lord are so endearing I wish they’d do away with the plot and just focus on what it would be like to bring emotions and frame it as “mortality for the immortal”.
