I mean it's just another god. It is aware what MC is trying to do and how. As is, it is a pretty boring plot hook. It will probably revealed that she created the demons just for kicks considering how, in universe, they appeared to come to being out of thin air and steamrolled humanity. Omniscient bad guys are really a bad choice for a supposedly mystery "who did it?" series. Right now, if the bad guy wants to win, they will. How can you stop them in 3 tries? Even if you had unlimited tries it's not possible.

When she told her about the rewinds, I was expecting sudden death. I guess I got conditioned by Re Zero.

It wasn't shown that she told Milfina her rewind limit (although it could have just been cut info), so my bet would be that the one doing the controlling is the goddess or a colleague of the goddess. Or Milfina has just more than one personality in her body.

The deaths happen quite fast. Will this be just a short manga or was the number of 7 rewinds just fake news?

The MC has found that the Demon King is naïve, strangely kind, and almost unaware of the effects her powers have on others. She kills, but death itself is quite irrelevant to a being who can simply reverse that. Not so great for the person being killed and revived, but it barely registers for the Demon King herself. So MC has become quite fond of, and even protective of, her.

Ok I am starting to not like the mystery of this series, we never actually saw her tell Mifina the lives limit. This tells me that details are being skipped over. And only really told to us afterwards.

I am suspecting that this is a unfair mystery where we will not be given the needed details till the end.

Either that, or it's an intentional clue to the identity of the killer. I do think the execution of this aspect of the manga has been unsatisfying so far tho.
