Kind of a shame (and a gross form of "nostalgia") that the openly gay characters in this are also ostensibly the "evil" characters. Although I appreciate that the situation looks it has complexity and isn't just some caricature.

Since Hong Kong is more futuristic, I guess this means only Kowloon looks like it's stuck in the past. Makes sense, even in chapter 1 they said Kowloon is a nostalgic place.
I actually laughed out loud at Guen "recording" Miyuki eating the hot dog on page 12.

@Brackass it might be a little too early to write off either of these guys as purely villains. Truth be told we still really don't have any idea of what's going on and it seems like Hebinuma might have had some kind of sad or dark past himself (from what i can tell at least he had no quarrel with slicing his tongue open to try and get a better life or an opportunity which is a lot). In general it seems there's a lot more going on than we know still

I get it though I think we're all sick of villains getting gay coded. But this is a bit more nuanced than simply slapping gay coding on a villain that makes up a lot of fiction. There's far more circumstances and stuff going on here and theyre an actual couple presented pretty normally so far. It remains to be seen where the whole garden of eden allegory here is going though
