1. just simply not give a crap, it's chump change so it doesn't matter to them, same as not picking quarters out of a fountain, not worth it.
2. they are just giving them to the MC so that he will carry them and when they finally get to the exit they will kill him and take them from him, less weight for them to slug around with inside the dungeon.

@twinklecake Dumb they might be (mostly because the threat of rape is a cheap but effective "bad guy" tag), but rape [monster]s have been part of human stories for a loooong time. Just look at centaurs. Nowadays, they are always "wise" or "noble" or "honorable," but back when they were first conceived by the Greeks, they were nasty, violent beasts who were more than willing to rape anything with a hole. There was only one wise centaur, Chiron, but his good reputation seems to have rubbed off on the rest of the species. Well, that and lots of people's love of horses, probably.

@firosahoge That silver ranked group is on their own quest and competing against another group (that bloody armor belonged to someone in their rival group), if they take time escorting Loren and Lapis out the way they came they risk losing out on their own reward. And yeah 97 chapters and regularly updated, and thank god its not MTL so aside from a few typos here and there its perfectly readable. Tried reading shinka no mi WN but it was MTL or ESL, was pretty bad either way. Story just started its 5th arc, arcs 2 and 4 probably my favorite.
