Just found out about this "new" Kung Fu robot from China (i guess...).

Yeah... Jakie-chan robots is coming.
If you think that the video is AI generated or not (doesn't really matter cause the robot runs on top of an AI anyway),
It is still impressive .
If this continues, we will probably get an Anby Soldier in 2026.

No matter how much I like mechs and gundam and whatnot, I think the idea of humanoid robots is dumb.
Especially bipedal robot soldiers.
Even in gundam, why would robots/suits even need to aim its rifles in a sniping pose like humans?

Research on humanoid robots is great. I'm sure it'll benefit things like prosthetics and such.
But the idea of autonomous humanoid companions is really just a fancy way of saying sexbot.

At least a quadrupedal, low-centered gravity model is way better for "robot soldiers" and other uses.
More legs to spread the weights and better balance, maybe bacteriophage-shaped.
Something like Portal's turret or 86's mechs, but with Fallout's Codsworth head and arms for 360° aiming capability.
