Basically, the plot to kick the shield guy was planned by the captain of the knights and the ex-fiance of the shield guy, because she didn't want to marry him, instead, she wanted to marry the prince... the king and prince are stupid and pretty much let the people around them do what they want... and they are easily manipulated... she wanted to be with the prince to manipulate him with the help of the knight captain... BUT the king put her with the shield guy... the idea is that the shield he surrounded the kingdom won't go, so they can get rid of him... the plan was half successful since the shield guy left, but the shield became weak and monsters started to enter... the KIng gets scared and asked about the shield guy (he didn't know that the shield guy was exiled), which the knight captain invented an excuse to put the blame on the shield guy the reason he is not there anymore and, as the king is stupid, he believes and tells the captain to bring the shield guy back... I bet you guys know what is going to happen from this... Btw, his shield does practically everything to serve the plot, as you guys will see
