@AbuHajaar The thing that's been drilled into me after reading so many Kunoichi manga is that Kunoichi often times have to preform... "escort" missions. They sleep with men to kill them or influence them. Now imagine you have a boyfriend or a husband... You see the problem?

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying this is the world they live in. Having them pair up and fall in love means it diminishes a Kunoichi's capacity to do these missions.

Generation after generation? Where exactly do the new generations come from if they don't breed? Do they snatch babies from orphanages or something? Quite an example of solving a problem by creating another problem. If couples found the ninja style of life too stiff and thus not worth it, why not change their methods and living environment? If both the husband and the wife are ninja, there's no way they wouldn't understand what being a ninja requires, so if the rules were reasonable, they would cope with it. However, if the lives of the couples were restricted for no sensible reason, of course they would rebel.

That's not the impression I got. That third village should have been the one where they lived together until too many couples formed, and irritated by the environment that didn't encourage couples, they left. If we are only talking about kids (students), then couples shouldn't be a huge problem as they would still be obedient and they wouldn't randomly leave without means of supporting themselves. Adults, however, are a different thing. If their job doesn't allow them to live as a happy couple, then they quit the job and look for another one.

@Tarage that is only one kind of Kunoichi. People believe that Kunoichi only do that for their assassinations, but it's not true. Some simply pose as waitress at local inns and restaurants, or gardeners at castles, or even travelling doctors or peddlers. Some actually know how to fight opponents directly(agility and dexterity actually count more than strength when it comes to swordfighting, so women are not really inferior to men in that aspect, although men still have an advantage in height.)
