Freedom is the only faction that hasn't attempted to recruit him, and also the only one that we haven't seen a representative of. He also said he prefers freedom...
This has been explained. Freedom basically has no representative to begin with.
I can expect some members to take independent initiative, like has happened with the other factions (middle right panel), but we wouldn't know that yet because they are basically a bunch of random free thinkers who don't participate in faction wars the way others do. Or they simply expect free thinkers like them to join of their own initiative.

The main way I see this revealed soon is when they go sort it out with Kunon himself and he just says: "Ah right, I joined the Freedom faction."
Or maybe "I'm joining all four factions. Not like there is a rule against it, right?" for extra shock value. (They even said in the exposition dump "there used to be restrictions to factions, but now there really aren't any." This is your cue for an outrageous exploit.)

why? Because you are a guy, you can look cute, but the moment that your facade falls, a man won't pay mind to you.

kinda seems like the special class is really shafted by the school and doesnt actually benefit from being there if the teachers not only dont teach them but also wont help them if a problem arises?

I am guessing it was all a miscomunication and his intention was to recruit all those girls into his faction called "Harem". :meguu:

He never said he won't join anyone else.
It's basically he's willing to work with any faction, but not tie to that specific one only.
So technically it'd be either 'all' or 'none' depending on how you view it.

The faction leaders basically ask if he's THAT valuable for the factions to be ok with him going around like that.
It ends up being Kunon vs anyone who has issue with his answer.

He won.
'one sidedly, instantly, as he declared'

Ignoring the Trap, What is wrong with the Logic Faction? Sending only a single recruiter. That's hardly logical.

they got flat refused (there's nothing remotely vague or misinterpret-able about "no, go away" lol) on the first attempt, and they have no idea it's bc they sent a guy (and why would they assume he'd be able to tell? most of the faction probably doesn't even know the truth either), so if they continued to try after unambiguously failing with the one whom they think is their most attractive member would be way more illogical, imo

Special class exist solely to get certificate since the students already self sufficient & have high chance to pass the academy on their own.

rather then spending so much on that certificate wouldnt the money be a lot better spent just working on their own research? and it would be safer too

True. Although he probably wouldn't need his powers for that.

He looks like He gets into catfights regularly.

It's a pity that one of those rare trans representations can't be a nicer person. At least they're not cartoonishly unattractive though, just emotionally unattractive

I actually quite like what the author does with Kunon and Cassis in the novel. In the novel he acts that way because he thinks Cassis is a guy but then he learns that Cassis actually has the soul of a woman and so he treats her much better and acknowledges Cassis as being a girl while apologizing for what he did. It’s a really nice moment from the author where they have Kunon accept an transwoman for who she is rather than what Kunon thinks she is and is being trans affirming towards her
Wow looks like I totally misread the authors' intent. Happily misread, for once! It's pretty rare that a LN/Manga Adaptation (I didn't know there was an LN for this, must read now!) Has a trans situation where it's the MC, not the author themselves being ignorant.

I take back what I said regarding representation, instead I'll just let the author and artist cook, I'm looking forward to seeing more character growth from everyone involved
