Jeez, people don't forget that their birthday is January 10 or whatever. You Just don't pay to much attention to remember that it's today, tomorrow or next week.

It's not a trope. It's something quite common.

Right? I’ve had a conversation literally go “Hey when’s your birthday?” “(month, Day), why?” “What day is today “it’s the… oh it’s my birthday”

Oh this is seriously bugging me. How many romcom leads keep forgetting their birthday.

Its the one day either you or close people celebrate. Its like the one day you'd always remember as being special at least for yourself.

Like ...I'm not the only one who thinks this trope is weird right?
I only know my birthday is coming up because it's right after my favorite holiday. That said, if your birthday is ON a bank holiday you'd think that association would stick.

"Oh, right, today is my birthday, I didn't remember" is a trope I can't see as something realistic till your thirties
One day i remember asking my mom why she was cooking so lavishly.
Turns out that was my birthday.
I was 17 then so for me mc's reaction is kinda relatable

Unless the setting is some alternate world where birthdays aren't traditionally celebrated, you're right.

Page 8 and 10 she’s clearly blushing, plus she’s clearly nervous/embarassed/shy all chapter. This is why you’ve never held hands with a girl.
LOOL, Jackist is still here. He's still holding on. What a hill he chose to die of wrongness on.

The older you get the more you realize a birthday isn't really some big celebration like how it's made out to be when you're young.

Some adults just choose to forget about it because it's just another day to them.
even more so when your birthday is on the same day as a public holiday
