All right MC compromise, ask for a BJ to see if the Count can help you get it up at least. If the Count can't even get your sword ready then it is probably not going to work out.

:facepalm:Did the author intend for the reader to feel happy (potential yandere addition to harem), sad (mc having to choose between being blackmailed and raped), or amused (mc having to choose between being blackmailed and raped by a yandere of ambiguous gender)?

Just to clarify a few things...

"Futanari" makes no distinction about the actual gender. The only thing it implies is that a person has breasts and a penis. Whether there is other equipment is left to the author/mangaka.

Hermaphrodites, however, have all of the things. Penis, testicle(s), vagina, uterus, ovar(y/ies).

They do happen in real life, but they are extremely rare, and are usually the result of a serious genetic defect with a mangled XY/XX chromosome. As a result, it's not a pretty picture, with some or even all of the working bits being deficient in some way.

In other words, even though it does happen IRL once in a while, it's not how we're meant to be put together, so it's usually not good in any real sense.

But in this setting... Looks like the higher beings have done something to make it work. Why for? Dunno. But I strongly suspect that this church doctrine Rio brought up isn't what the higher beings intended.
It's a real shame that Rio put up with such discrimination, and resorting to top-down surgery (I think that's what it's called?) by themselves to fall closer to a sex was quite drastic. I can't imagine how her hormones operate to mess her brain up, leading to that very gender dysphoria that Kurono called out earlier (calling Rio a girl here as she looks closer to one, intentionally so by the author and mangaka, I imagine, especially bearing tits she desperately tried to cut off).

With that said, what Rio is doing here is not how she should be resolving her issues. She needs help, but not in the way she's forcing Kurono to be a part of. She does not want to fall into the same logic as that group resorted to 'be accepted', when they've only built up a worse reputation for themselves that the majority not only not want to deal with, but also want the law enforcement to arrest for numerous charges.

While I wouldn't mind a hermaphrodite with fully-functioning genitals (leaning more female, obviously) be a part of a harem, this was not the premise I want one to throw her pitch with to join.

as someone said before, there is no chick with dick only dude with tits
After a bit of research, I do understand the Y-chromosome is what determines a person to be a male and develop male characteristics, making it possessing dominant genes, while the genes in the X-chromosome is apparently responsible for some issues that could develop for males down the line, making them recessive genes. So realistically, even if a true hermaphrodite has all functioning genitals, they'd actually look more male than female due to the Y-chromosome, so I understand why that statement would be accurate.

However, for purposes in the author's story, Rio's depicted to be more feminine than expected, and the psychological problems Rio is having might be the result of the recessive genes in the X-chromosome hitting into overdrive that those in the Y-chromosome are probably struggling against. Honestly, until the author declares what sex/gender that character really is, call it coping or even brand me a 'little' gay, if you will, but I'm still going to call Rio a girl.

so like what happens when he has a threesome with with 'chick' involved? as far as i'm aware most herms only have one function sex organ, the other is just for show and play. and some crazy high ass percentage (i think it was 90+%) of herms have the male sex organ working.. (i think) around 5% or less famale working organ. and the rest are totally infertile.

so again... what happens when they have a threesome... is MC ready to have one of his women possibly impregnated by someone other than himself?
My guess is that, if Rio has functional "Sword" down there, then she would likely get her own wife(s) later on in the story to produce heir for her family, while she herself have kids with MC for his family side.

As for a threesome, i doubt any of MC's current Harem members would allow themselves to be poked by another sword (not sure about future members).

So, the likely situation in the case of a possible threesome with Rio is that, she gets her own wife(s) and has three/more-some with MC with them.

That way MC gets more holes to goal, and none of his Harem girls get poked by a different sword.

Kinda surprised to see not many people talking about the "accept me or fight and get mutilated."
If there was supposed to be some attempt at representation that would only make things worse, doncha think?
Anyways.. incoming typical response from the MC and probably some kinda obligatory "yeah sure."
Can't say this is worth the huge wait this manga has with its chapters.

Count, have some dignity

Also hermapho- well I can't spell but that implies both gender...

Is it gay?
Or European
It's not gay, as a hermaphrodite is both sexes, as they have all the sex organs of both the genders.

So, whether they interact with either the Male or Female sexes, it could always be seen as both homo and hetero at the same time.

So, it's better to call them as Bi.

All valid points, but therein lay the rub: Psychology isn't exactly a well-practiced medical field in this setting, and their answer to people like Rio are to either cut off the unwanted bits of just shun them altogether.

So, looking at it with that in mind, it's a miracle that she's as functional as she is. And the desperation she's showing strikes me as natural. No, it's not healthy at all. But as unfortunate as it is, it still is what it is.

To clarify, I'm not making up excuses and trying to say that this behavior is acceptable, because, really, it's not acceptable behavior at all.

Rather, to me it is understandable why things would take this sort of turn. In fact, I find that this scenario is much more believable than if Rio was somehow a well-balanced person despite what she has endured. And I also believe that the author/mangaka is doing a good job of getting this across - that there is a certain wrongness in this situation, and that Rio is putting Chrono between a rock and a hard place with her ultimatum.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

Truthfully, telling that "someone needs help" is mush easy to do, especially in the current era.

But what kind-off help they need isn't up-to someone else, but the person being affected.

This is why, many times rehabilitation of a person fails and the person in question either end up broken or die, and even if successful they could end-up living a life which they would constantly have to keep in balance as even a slight issue could collapse it all for them. Because the "help" they usually get is based on general norms, not what the person needed.

In this case, Rio herself knows that the help she needs is "acceptance", and to get it she would even go for a forceful route, even if the relationship she gets because of it might be broken one. Because in the end, she is doing it purely for herself only.

Now it's upto MC on how he handles the situation, because the way Rio is accepted would also play a good part in her healing.

Hermaphrodite or a futa? Either is fine if that's what you're into but forcing someone to be with you when threatening them without having a real connection is the only problem
Hermaphrodite is the English word for Futanari, or, I should really say, Futanari is the Japanese word for Hermaphrodite, because that's where the Japanese word originated from. In other words, Hermaphrodite and Futanari both have male and female genitalia, whereas in real life, Hermaphrodites may not always have breasts, Futanari are almost always depicted with breasts.

Futanari and Hermaphrodites are one and the same, as Futanari came from the English word Hermaphrodite, it's only through the liberties of artists, manga, comic, game, and other content creators and consumers that Futanari now means Hermaphrodite, Trans, and a lot of other things.
