her skill is impressive, but an easy way to counter it is making an AOE attack. so whenever you parry, it will still trigger and hit her. besides her skill are not auto on/off. she need to manually turn it on, that's when you come in with AOE in weapon. of course if her timing is too good, it will still be useless, but i doubt that. that's too OP
of course it's just a game strategy, idk how the author would do

as for him asking her to live with him for battle, that's BS. is he really daft or what? battling everyday with the same person are not what true battle junkie wants. it's not all about strength, but it's all about meeting new foes, anticipating his skill and counter it. if you doing it with the same person, you will know all his pattern and it will get boring. the adrenaline will not be as high vs encountering new foes.

Kevin literally pretended to be the boss of a bandit group, known for human trafficking and slavery, so he could fight the heroes so his lunacy for battle is well known
