A crab bucket of nosy, jealous and delusional turds who's only meaning in life is to admire their oshi from afar and gatekeep her from everyone who tries to get closer. The reason why no MC ever written can spend quality time with a pretty girl.
Surely this kind of development appeals to many readers - why else would authors continue using it?

Idk if it's just me but the MC's face this chapter looks kinda dookie and not drawn so well as the FMC, more than usual. Not really a big fan of it but the impromptu rival battle trope will likely end with the newcomer being friends with the couple after being defeated and serve as a comedic device and romantic plot progressor bc she knows the couple's real relationship. I can see it from a mile away bruh
