Couldn't he just, uh, not betray the hero? You know, to avoid his own death
He is going independent from his family, just to avoid getting involved with the Hero.

He is even trying to avoid getting any core characters into his fold (instead going for NPC's who are meant to die), just to not get involved with the Hero.

Though getting that beastgirl is going to backfire for sure, as her death is supposed to make the Hero question about the social situation. But now that wouldn't happen, the Hero won't get character development he was supposed to get.

Looks promising but i dont even need to read the first chapter to know the little sister is 100% a psycho.
Anyone else always amused how beastfolk and elves are seen as inferior while in reality we as humanity would be getting our ass handed. The "we have better tech" doesnt work if you can always steal it just like in rl

I want to know why slavery is such a common thing in manga. Especially when it used in a way to excuse slavery. Like since there "saving" them that it ok; its just funny how common it is.

I completely forgot he said he becomes the final boss because he said he dies by killing the saint with him. I thought it was just part of the plan of his family that failed. So that's the game's supposed ending? Hahaha.

I wonder why the little sister did not get killed and there was no mention of what happens to the eldest brother.

Several reasons. First a lot of Japanese have trust issues. Slaves are people you can have under your absolute command especially if magically enforced. Plus not worry about betrayal. Second, it skips having to actually build a relationship built on trust since you don't need actual human interaction.

Look at that, we got a full shitsekai bingo even before the first chapter was over. "Appraisal" "Status Screen" "Slavery" "game villain" "granted skills"

You know what would be innovative for once? A MC thats actually a villain instead of this lukewarm goodie two shoe slop. There are so many interesting ways an isekai story could unfold, but instead it's somehow always the same crap.

A bummer because the art is actually decent.

Don't overthink it. It's the second reason you mentioned. But the reason the relationship and character building is skipped is due to a lack of writing skills. Same goes for the chronic use of appraisal skills and status screens.
Why "waste time" with proper world building if the character can explain everything the reader needs to know with one look on his status screens.

Do starter chapters of isekai have to follow a bullet point list of cliches now? I swear it's like it's been made law or somthing.

The art is godlike, worth following just for it alone.
