Yeah I'm not sure how "I stopped the orphans from rising up and demanding better treatment" was the good option.

A while ago I looked just a bit ahead in the WN and iirc there was a scene of his father being mildly annoyed about MC messing up his plans by helping the orphans, so probably that uprizing a few years later was actually instigated by him as some evil scheme to destabilize the country or something.

Well, he was able to ensure that they can feed themselves by showing them the good gathering spots, so I guess that means that their condition will improve their own effort and they will become stronger, resulting in their lives improving without needing to revolt

Also, revolutions are often covers for other powerful agencies to enact their will on people. It wouldn’t be too surprising if some big bad guy in the shadows riled up the orphans and supplied them with weapons, for their own sinister purposes. Hiding an assassination or just distracting the town guards

• Traders you use in convenient/safe/friendly cities? Disrupted or gone.
• Save/Fast-travel points in strategic places? Gone or Unsafe.
• XP-grinding grounds? Either diminished access, mob-replacement ( with 1XP Orphans..), or destroyed.
• That Warehouse you rented/bought to quick-stash all the extra stuff you need to complete the Quest for the Thingamajig? Gone or inaccessible because it's in the affected Event area..

And your personal Inventory is limited and works with encumbrance ...

Plenty of Fun Things you can visit upon Players .... 😇😇

I do absolutely want to make a very cruel game where the player is presented with opportunities to help her hurt the orphans or various other moral dilemmas. And when they make the wrong choices, awful shit like that happens.

It definitely be fun to just say to the player, remember that orphan you didn’t help six hours ago well because you didn’t help them their sister died and now they start a massive coup that royally messed up your game. Sorry about that

what an all-around weird chapter. I'm not sure how do describe it without sounding like I didn't enjoy it (i did) or that it didn't amount to anything important (it certainly did), but 4 whole parts worth? Seems like one of the more egregious chapter cutups i've experienced

anyway, considering Emilina is still on the front cover, alongside having an Extremely Detailed Design to boot, something tells me she's gonna get roped into our protag's independent schema after that "purposeful" boob grope - either that, or he's gonna be forced onto the main plot while still Totally Ignoring It We Swear
